Methodist Hospital Physical Therapy Build-Out

Methodist Hospital

Merrillville, Indiana

The Pangere Corporation was the General Contractor for the build-out of the new Methodist Hospital Physical Therapy Department located in Merrillville, Indiana. The new physical therapy suite provides ample space to grow the department and provide patients with rehabilitation services.

The 6,300 square-foot project consisted of the interior build-out of the existing 3rd-floor building space, Pavilion A within the Methodist Hospital Merrillville Campus. The scope of work included reception, patient rehabilitation suites, private medical offices, restrooms, and strength training areas, including an open-concept physical therapy gym. A fully functioning training kitchen will have working appliances to work with patients to master life skills in a realistic, home-like environment.

As a General Contractor, Pangere has long been a proud building partner of Methodist Hospitals, the largest locally owned not-for-profit healthcare network in Northwest Indiana. Project Manager, Doug Strickley along with Project Superintendent, Todd White, both managed the coordination of all subcontractor work, communicated with hospital engineering staff, and implemented interim life safety measures at all times. Our total time from project start to facility operations was a little over 8 weeks...all without sacrificing safety or quality.
