Pangere Receives Contractor & Project of the Year Awards

The Pangere Corporation received the 2017 Commercial Contractor of the Year and the 2017 Commercial Project of the Year Awards given by the Construction Advancement Foundation. Pangere received the 2017 Commercial Project of the Year Award for the St. Catherine Hospital Intensive Care Unit Renovation. Pangere was also recognized with the 2016 Excellence Award for Safety given by the Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable. The awards were presented at the Construction Awards Banquet held on May 11, 2017. The Construction Awards Banquet is organized by the Construction Advancement Foundation (CAF) and the Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable (NWIBRT) and honors companies and individuals that exhibit outstanding performance on local construction projects.

Commercial Contractor of the Year Awards are based on exemplary safety, excellence in partnering and teamwork, quality project management, innovation and uniqueness in construction techniques, consideration for the environment and its surroundings, community support, outstanding craftsmanship, and supervisory training and education.

Commercial Project of the Year Awards are based on criteria which reflect the contractor’s ability to deliver a quality project to the owner -- on schedule, within budget, with minimal disruption of the owner’s operation, while upholding the highest commitment of safety.

The Excellence Award for Safety is given to companies that meet Achievement Award criteria for the last three years and demonstrate an exceptional safety management system. Pangere has achieved zero injuries for the past three years.

The Pangere Corporation is a General Contractor that performs a variety of commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland.

Pangere Receives Safety Excellence Award

Pangere was recognized with the 2016 Excellence Award for Safety given by the Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable. 

The Excellence Award for Safety is given to companies that meet Achievement Award criteria for the last three years and demonstrate an exemplary safety management system. Pangere has achieved zero injuries for the past three years.

“Safety success can only be achieved by employing individuals who possess the highest regard for safety, quality, and professionalism,” stated Steve Pangere, President of The Pangere Corporation.  Steve further stated that,“A company can have a well written safety program with safety systems in place,but they are useless if they are not adhered to by dedicated employees.”

Jim Vermillion Achieves Certified Healthcare Constructor

The Pangere Corporation is proud to announce that Jim Vermillion, Manager of its Commercial Construction Division, has earned the designation of Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) by the American Hospital Association Certification Center. 
The CHC is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among an elite group of 900 healthcare construction professionals in the nation. The CHC certification program supports the community of healthcare professionals and is designed to provide an objective and rigorous assessment of broad-based knowledge in healthcare construction. 

Jim Vermillion joined Pangere in 2004 and has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. The Pangere Corporation's Commercial General Construction Division performs work in healthcare, education, retail, public sectors, and many other industries. 

Additionally, The Pangere Corporation was recognized by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local #1005 as Contractor of the Year. The NWI Construction Advancement Foundation awarded Pangere the Commercial Contractor of the Year and presented Pangere with an award for Commercial Project of the Year for the St. Catherine Hospital ICU renovation.
